Sharing the fun

I think its about time that we share the fun that this society offers us.
I have an idea to create a facebook page or better still a website which anyone can contribute to with ideas for educational pranks.

I have loads of ideas for this and I am convinced that once I get the ball rolling, others will also have many.

Many of these ideas will be 'prank' calls but educational in purpose. Anyone can add o his pool of ideas and anyone can put them into practise and we would then encourage people to record what they do and put them up on youtube or soundcloud if its just audio perhaps.

Please let me know if you want to get involved.

Sounds good to me - like one of those 101 activities to do on a rainy day books - but instead a growing resource of educational pranks to play site:)!

Do you mind folks doing the same thing you're doing? I was thinking of a similar performance in Madison, Wisconsin. We have a long road ahead in the Walker Recall and election here. Plus we will soon be subjected to the 8th Republican clown car of candidates debate and laughter and hugs will be needed more than ever. Thank you for performing, hugs, laughter, and inspiration.
Forward! --Tom

I had an idea to make a free t shirt printing setup where you have a stencil of a provocative saying like "Everything is OK" and offer to spray paint the stencil free onto people's t shirts as they walk past, other sayings like "Mind controlled" are also good. This would stimulate discussion, and be good on video. You'd need the stencil to be set up within a frame or something to stop the spray paint going in people's hair.

We're not ready to do this yet, anyone else want to do it go ahead, "Everything is OK" is fantastic conversation topic, and quickly recognised by more and more people now, the more of us that wear it the more solidarity we'll feel, its such a lift to find out how many people are actually switched on.

How old are you Danny Shine?

This stupid and immature.

"educational pranks" For Christ sake!

Without any thought into the affect these calls may have on the people on the other end of the line.

Grow up. Have you got nothing better to do?

If you got any further up your own arse you'd invert.

What a self obsessed wanker you are.

Grow up, get a clue and shut the fuck up.

Dear Danny,

I stumbled upon your YouTube videos earlier accidentally. Strangely for me, I sat and watched your channel from beginning to end.

What I connected with the most (especially in the earlier videos) is your absolutely delicate, and beautifully balanced management of those in authority. You truly cut them down by smothering them with lovely thoughts. A simple hug could quickly undermine the authority they stood for and soften their humanity for a moment and passers-by were listening intently to what you were saying. They were stopping, listening, gathering - because you were talking sense and presenting it perfectly ironically, gently and humanly, in a way that everyone could understand and without confrontation. Don't for God sake let your ego take that as a compliment, the later vids felt harsher to me, more confrontational and less loving with greater "resistance"… (Charlie seemed to be getting a bit "hectic")… ;)

I looked up your blog after and also (when I realised your last vid post was 2010 - scared me with your earlier comment about "uncurable disease", thought you may have passed on) ((can you do double brackets? - hope you haven't, I was hoping my idea might appeal to you)).

So I was wandering over to Tesco's earlier all full of inspiration, as robots do after consuming inspirational media. I've been looking for an unstoppable motive for change. Actually, you've left me with a distinct and strangely insurmountable realisation - the love is actually unstoppable. You singlehandedly managed to subvert officials on many more than one occasion with nothing more than a sincere offering of genuine affection. Not only to subvert officials but also to encourage action, to encourage attention. That is the middle path, reckon it's the only way.

So in answer to your latest blog post (August 2011), here is my idea for educational pranks: Fuck educational pranks… I've got a much better idea. Everything IS ok.

People do need love, they do need help to imagine a world without the box - you inadvertently just demoed that world to me. I have no experience with a megaphone...

So, I want to do the biggest "chain hug" in history - That is, stand in public places offering hugs to passers by, ask each hugger to pass on at least 10 hugs to other people and get those people to register the number of hugs they have passed on via a website, which I am totally prepared to set up. I can do websites, check out www.tuberadio.fm if you want to stumble across a sad picture of me.

Don't care what you think of me, doesn't matter. What matters is, you inspired me to write this message. Don't usually do messages, do spend time in boxes. Bored with boxes, need to undermine cardboard manufacturers.

Best regards and genuinely hope to hear from you,

Ben
